Zoobooks magazine brings you an up close and personal look at some of your favorite animals! Each issue features a specific animal, or a group of related animals, such as sharks, whales, small cats, or elephants. Throughout the pages of this predominantly glossy magazine, kids can learn about the particular animal that is featured. Most of the pages are covered in pictures; the text generally doesn’t take up more than a third of the page. There are no long articles in Zoobooks magazine; the factual information comes dispersed throughout the pictures. This keeps young ones entertained as they are learning interesting details about their favorite animals. Interesting information includes a pictorial of the animal’s skeleton, as well as its muscles. This is designed to give kids a look at the scientific aspect of an animal’s makeup. Also included is information regarding the animal’s habitat, as well as their diet. Each issue of Zoobooks magazine also contains a four page section, designed to be a pull out. Included in the pull out is a poster of the featured animal. This section features letters and poems from readers, as well as different games and activities kids can enjoy, including cut outs, and mazes and crossword puzzles. |
