EDITORIAL REVIEW OF SEED MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION

For years science has been labeled as little more than the geek’s subject, and the idea of science normally conjures up a picture of a frizzy-haired, thick-rimmed glasses wearing nerd in a white lab coat pouring some strange liquid from a test tube into a beaker. If this is all you see when you think of science, then pick up a subscription to Seed magazine and discover science all over again. The subtitle of this magazine states that “Science is Culture,” and the writers are dedicated to showing you just how true that is. Interesting articles will make you think, and help you to appreciate the things you see around you, as you begin to notice the science of it all.

We live in a world where science influences every aspect of our life, and Seed magazine shows you how. This helps people to have a better understanding of scientific research and advances, taking them from beyond the lab, and into your living room. Bold and chic in its content, this magazine is sure to delight readers everywhere, whether they enjoyed science class in school or not. Seed magazine has taken the nation by storm, educating, informing, and entertaining everyone from your typical science geek, to your everyday citizen.

Not so sure on this one. Whilst this mag is meant to put a perspective on how science affects us as human beings - the impact of science on culture - I'm not sure that is is achieving this. I have found some of it so incredibly boring while other articles have been really riveting. Too early to tell yet.
