I've been a subscriber to CN Traveler for a long time, and alhough I still enjoy it, it has moved away from its roots. These days the destinations are much glitzier and the focus would seem to be consumerism rather than travel and its adventure. I remember some of those original articles so clearly still - freightering as an adventure, touring Ireland in search of a heritage and so on.
It covers mostly North America and Europe, telling you where to eat, shop or be seen. A great coffee table magazine, the pictures are gorgeous, but the destinations are only for the wealthy.
